Painting with the American Society of Marine Artists in Antigua

Painting with the American Society of Marine Artists on Antigua was an extraordinary experience. We painted en plein air in breathtaking locations, sailed on catamarans, and shared meals while exchanging ideas and inspiration. With a full and dynamic schedule, we embraced every moment to the fullest.

We also had the distinct honor of meeting His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams and Lady Williams.

One of the paintings created during this time will remain on Antigua as part of the future museum collection.

I am deeply grateful to the American Society of Marine Artists and Bob Osborne—not only for the thoughtful organization, but for the honor of being invited to such a special experience, one that will stay with me for a lifetime.

The private view was an unforgettable evening, surrounded by powerful and diverse self-portraits. It was incredibly inspiring to connect with many of the other participating artists.

Congratulations to Hanieh Yavarii on winning the £10,000 prize — so well deserved!

A heartfelt thank you to the Russell-Cotes Museum for their warm hospitality, and to the Ruth Borchard Collection and Piano Nobile Gallery for organising such a meaningful exhibition.
